Hello Team, We have issues in performance in data visualization. We have more than 10 years of data, 600 TB data, and at the moment of visualization the system in taking a long time. What should I do to avoid performance issues? What should I do before uploading the data ?
I've changed my controls using the addon Console Port and the world of warcraft steam controller to the point where reverting back to Mouse and Keyboard would be a detriment to my game play. Has anyone else have luck with this gadget and an MMO? It has given WoW new life, and I find myself wanting to play it at work again, not because it's WoW, but because I can play it so easily with the steam controller.
Change the Model of a dashboard from A model to B model (Dashboard lives in B model but looking at A Data model)
Thanks you all for helping here. Request I have: We have a dashboard that is created under GSS's data model. However this dashboard lives now under CA model (But still looks at GSS's data model).Problem:People who do not have access to the GSS model (As they do not need it) cannot use it. Get LookML of the dashboard: “model: GSS”Goal:Change the model that the dashboard is looking at from GSS model to CA model.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have tried/thought:Following this article from Looker help center, I have thought of:Use the Looker Content Validator to change the model. This one feels a bit risky to me. Applying this change there it feels that it will not only apply for the mentioned dashboard but maybe in other places. I am concerned that is going to change the model GSS to CA everywhere. So I did not press the button... Use Create LookML Copies of Dashb

I came across a great video series of Looker releases from Josh Neman and the folks at Brooklyn Data Co., and thought of sharing it with the community - worth the bookmark! Would be helpful to have short videos like this attached to the official release notes.https://brooklyndata.co/blog/looker-release-review-2114https://www.loom.com/share/f39d708895fe472db28b63abaeb68ee4
Hey there! We’re currently thinking about adding Looker to our data stack, as our current solution (Tableau) cannot keep up with the growth we’ve seen in the last months. Looker especially appealed to us due to the ability to enable self-service analytics organisation-wide. However, we’ve also seen similar value being realised by new augmented analytics solutions. Kausa for instance offered us a relatively cheap solution for the same goal, but it seems to be relatively early. Does anyone have experience with tools like these? Do you think they should be used complementay to Looker or is it an either-or question? Thanks a lot in advance!Best, Tobi

Hoping someone can lend some advice on the best way to schedule a .csv to be sent from a Look to PowerBI? I’m very familiar with the schedule feature in Looker, but less experienced with how PowerBI can ingest data. We‘ve developed this data set in Looker, but have some folks that still use PowerBI - would love to cut out the step of them logging into Looker and downloading the .csv!
Hello, I was wondering if the team at LOOKER has any examples of how large companies have structured their teams (BI, data eng, data science, product analysts) around LOOKER. Also, if you happen to read this and have an example for how your company, or a past company you have worked with, has organized resources around LOOKER, please feel free to share. Have folks created a platform team for stability, performance, upgrades etc? And then another team for LOOKML development and data modeling? Please share! Would highly prefer visual diagrams if you have them!
Hi all, Checking the data for a App client and it seems like Facebook Ads report is showing much more registrations completed than Looker. The data over this year never matched! There were days where Looker showed more Registrations than Facebook but lately seems to be the opposite. Anyone seeing something similar or know what could cause this? Thanks for all the help
Dear all, Hope you’re all doing great!!! I was wondering what is the best approach to track Looker implementation. On our side we decided to divide the project by dashboard, and for each dashboard we divide by KPI (simple, medium, complex). So in the end we are able to track the progress in the construction of the lookml. By the way it’s also a great way to define what will be the time needed for a next dashboard or for a new feature. For the moment we are just tracking progress on a sheets but I was wondering if you’re working on trello, jira or other stuff… Take care

SummaryLog, or machine, data can contain a wealth of information and be used for multiple use cases from Security Analytics to IT Operations and Monitoring. However, it can often be very difficult to extract any meaning out of this data due to its structure and sheer volume. Looker can be used to give log data meaning and make it easier for end users to extract insights from a dataset that is traditionally difficult to work with. A “Brute Force Attack” is a common Security Analytics pattern that is used to detect potentially malicious activity when a user’s attempted logins are consecutively denied several times before eventually succeeding. Looker’s threshold-based alerts, schedules, and actions can be used to detect this activity, alert someone via email, slack, or text, and also trigger other workflows like opening a support ticket. DatasetThis should be setup on “Access” or “Audit” logs that contain information on users and attempted logins. In this example we are using GCP Audit L
