Show Total regardless of any selections/filters

I need to show the Total Sales and the total sales should be shown always even when we filter using any dimensions.

Filter is applied to both the main query and the totals query as WHERE clause,  if TOTALS are selected, hence you won’t be able to see the total.

I do see a use case where perhaps being able to stop the filter being applied to the TOTALS query could be of use but where does it end? If you have multiple filters, would the total remove all filters or just certain ones? This kind of configuration would be amazing as it would be a first step to window functions and grouped totals..

This is a case for NDT’s and then binding filters. I made a ticket in the product idea portal pendo about binding all filters and allowing you to exclude some rather than have to list all filters but the 1 or 2.
