This sounds like you may not have the proper permissions in Looker or possibly the database connection. To see a project, you must have either the manage_models permission, or the develop permission for at least one model in the project.If you have develop permission for at least one model in a project, you can see the project in the Develop panel and in the top section of the page. If you have access to SQL Runner, I would also check you have access to the datasource there, that should tell you if you have access to the database connection being used. Data restriction defined through projects also flows through to the Looker SQL Runner, which ensures that your developers cannot get access to prohibited database connections by using SQL Runner.
