Long Running Query Active Alert

Hey all, 

I was wondering if anyone has succeeded in creating an alert in Looker that checks maybe every half hour whether or not a query has gone beyond a certain threshold (whether it is complete or still running and beyond the threshold). Ideally I would want information on the query and explore pushed out to me and a few others via email so that we're able to act quickly. 

Right now I can sort of create the alert based on what has been completed, but I need to see actively running queries as well. Appreciate any guidance here!
