Underdog Sports is hiring our first data analyst. We are looking for someone who is proficient in SQL and can enable our teams to explore their data.

Here are the responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Build out the foundation for the data function at Underdog Fantasy

  • Run daily/weekly/monthly reports required by cross-functional teams

  • Select the systems that Underdog Fantasy uses going forward for data and visualizations

  • Build data visualizations for easy access to data reporting across the whole company and by specific teams

  • Perform analysis on datasets and communicated results to help stakeholders across the company make informed decisions

  • Co-operate with cross-functional teams of product, marketing, and finance

  • Increase automation and self service reporting so that all employees have easy access to the data they need

Who you are

  • 3+ years prior relevant experience

  • Extremely strong SQL skills

  • Experience with and in-depth knowledge of relational databases

  • Experience with data visualization tools and performing analysis on complex dataset

  • Strong interpersonal skills and are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders

  • Know how to understand and tackle loosely defined problems and come up with relevant answers and impactful insights
