What is the salary for this position? If you say “depending on experience” then please provide a range just like you’re looking for a range of experiences

Hi @Dawid, thanks for your message. Plentific has offices in London, Berlin and Ankara. If the person lives in the UK, Germany or Turkey, in general can be directly employed. If the person lives somewhere else we can generally work on a contract basis. The compensation thus varies depending on the type of contract/employee relationship, and also a bit on the country, so it’s difficult to provide a universal range.

The compensation is however very competitive and adjusts nicely to the experience of the candidate. And the work is very rewarding, as we are building products onto our platform from scratch, providing ample freedom for the candidates to develop themselves quickly, and have exposure to a wide variety of team and tools, not just routine work. The hierarchy is quite flat and we have fast decision making, avoiding lots of frustation due to bureocracy and slow decisions. The team is highly motivated and we are flexible in how we structure the work hours.

If it’s an indication of anything, the attrition in the data engineering team has been zero since it was formed, new members keep joining and nobody has left. This is somehow a measure of the health of the work environment. We want to hire for the long term, and as such try to communicate it during the interviews. We are aware that in other SME companies there is high rotation due to lower salaries or unstructured work environments. Plentific is different.

If it’s only “a bit” dependent on the country, you could still provide a range for each country, couldn’t you? To me the inclusivity even before applying is very important and companies should be way more transparent about the potential salaries rather than avoidant as it is now.

It’s not just to promote inclusivity and openness but also so that candidates can quickly asses whether salary is appealing to them before spending time on applications.
