Responsibilities:

Business Intelligence Engineer

Key areas include but not limited to:

  • People – Developing impactful relationships with the client and your co-workers
  • Projects – Executing on project SOW within scope, on-time and on-budget
  • Profits – Ensuing Data Clymer’s revenue goals are obtained

What you do:

  • Contribute to Data Clymer to become the premier data consulting firm
  • Provide feedback to the management team to set policies on how Data Clymer operates
  • Build trust with our customers and drive long-lasting relationships
  • Conduct technical discussions with client stakeholders
  • Writing SQL for both data engineering and analytics purposes
  • Define and create metrics / KPIs
  • Design and build reports / dashboards using visualization best practices
  • Build “trust” dashboards showing system status
  • Build and maintain alerts to help clients stay informed when certain metric thresholds have been achieved or issues arise
  • Hold trainings for the client and stakeholders
  • Write clean, smart code that will scale
  • Design and implement analytical data models
  • Develop analytics through BI tools using Looker, Tableau and Sigma
  • Performing Data analysis to answer key business questions
  • Working with client teams to help create a data driven culture
  • Devising the best solution based on requirements and your experience
  • Auditing data and investing issues through resolution
  • Gathering and documenting requirements
  • General data wrangling with SQL, Python
  • Research and implement technical solutions for client projects

Qualifications:

  • Results orientation with a strong work ethic and self-management skills
  • Ability to identify issues and opportunities within the company and help drive them
  • Strong SQL skills and proficient with Python
  • Desire to work with customers
  • Two years of experience in data or analytics or equivalent degree
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Nice to experience to have:

  • Looker Development: coding LookML, setting up Explores, Reports and Dashboards
  • Data analytics and visualization best practices
  • Experience with Matillion, Fivetran  or DBT
  • Data Engineering
  • Data Warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, Azure)
  • Data science / machine learning concepts
  • Certifications in data technologies

Cloud Data Engineer

Key areas include but not limited to:

  • People – Developing impactful relationships with the client and your co-workers
  • Projects – Executing on project SOW within scope, on-time and on-budget
  • Profits – Ensuing Data Clymer’s revenue goals are obtained

What you do:

  • Contribute to Data Clymer to become the premier data consulting firm

  • Interface and communicate with clients directly on a daily basis
  • Build trust with our customers and drive long-lasting relationships
  • Conduct technical discussions with client stakeholders
  • Follow Data Clymer’s design patterns and culture change methodology
  • Write clean, smart code that will scale
  • Design and implement analytical data models
  • Develop date pipelines (ETL) using Matillion, Fivetran  or DBT
  • Configure data warehouse accounts, roles, databases, and schemas 
  • Develop views, materialized views, and SQL scripts
  • Work with client teams to help create a data driven culture
  • Devise the best solution based on requirements and your experience
  • Audit data and investing issues through resolution
  • Gather and documenting requirements
  • Research and implement technical solutions for client projects
  • Develop analytics through BI tools using Looker, Tableau and Sigma

Thanks Dawid - we are primarily looking for strong mid-to-senior folks with direct experience in our cloud data stack and are not looking at a particular salary range.  Instead our philosophy is to absolutely compensate well for the right fit!
