Scheduling custom external reports

Hello! 

I’m looking to schedule reporting to external users via email (PDF format). I would like the report to be customized based on the external email address (e.g. Email address tied to a customer ID), pulling in only data for that customer. 

It appears to be doable user attributes but is it doable in this case where external users are not ‘users’ within our Looker instance?

The only way to do it would be to create one schedule delivery per e-mail address. In this case you can set a Filter on a dashboard. There’s no dynamic way of connecting recipient’s e-mail address with the underlying data.

Thanks @Dawid! If I’m scheduling delivery via email as a PDF, I wouldn’t need user licenses for each one of my external emails right?

No, you can send it anybody you like. You don’t use those e-mail addresses internally, or, like you rightly said, using User Attributes, which means no licenses required.
