Will deleting a project in Looker remove that project from the remote repository?

Nope! Deleting a project in Looker removes that project from the local models (and models-user-x) directory but does not affect the remote repository.

@molly_lippsett i would like to ask this question differently, is there a way we can delete a Project without entering in to the GIT portion?

the problem with our GIT is somehow it doesn't show in Dev mode. 

And i cannot go to the Settings page to click delete.

Is there any other method like API / deleting the Project entries from metadata?

Note : we created a new Project and moved all the model files to the new project, and unable to get rid of the obsolete one.
