Generally speaking, changes to view names, Explore names, and field names can break content. The names of LookML objects like these are used in Looks and Dashboards, as well as other references inside LookML.
Instead of changing LookML object names, you should use
label when possible to only change how the object is viewed to the end user, not how it's referenced.
You can see what's broken by running Content Validator in your dev mode. More importantly, you can also use the Content Validator to fix what's broken by replacing view, Explore, or model names for affected content.
