The other option we may have is setting a dashboard to refresh every 5 seconds. This will rerun with new queries to the database every 5 seconds, but requires the dashboard being open somewhere, and won't send an alert.
There is a huge caution on this workaround because you need an incredibly performant database to handle this type of query load.
