Materialized Views in Looker

Some databases allow materialized views, which is like a persisted SQL query. You can call these in Looker like any other table, but they won't show up when Looker searches for tables. So you won't see them in the view generator or SQL Runner sidebar. Feature request to have these work with the LookML generator

Additionally, as of 21.10, users can create PDTs that are stored as materialized views. See the Materialized Views Runbook for more info (BTW, they will show up in the left sidebar in SQL Runner.)
