How is the "Estimated Time" for a query calculated?

Looker uses the time it took to run that query last time to predict estimated time. However, it uses the query parameters to determine this, not the SQL, so if you drastically change a LookML definition the estimate may be wrong.

If the query hasn't been run before, Looker does not show an estimate.
