If you leave the row limit blank in an explore/look, and add the query/look to a dashboard, the dashboards adds a row limit of 1000 rows. So if you have a table calc that depends on going through more than 1000 rows, you need to add in a row limit rather than leave it blank.
The workaround is to use row limit 5000 instead of a blank row limit.
