Can you remove a front end sort (^, v) from an explore or look column?

No, once you click the column header you'll only then be able to toggle between DESC and ASC (v, ^ ). Only way to 'remove' the sort is to start over.

It’s true, there is no way to reset the sort - however, you do not have to completely start over. You can just remove the view from your In-Use fields and add it back. Remember you can move views around in the data section to your liking - so if you sorted by the first view column and need to remove it to get rid of the sort, you can add it back and just drag and drop the column back to the spot that you like.
