Can we monitor the number of API requests in System Activity?

The API requests under System Activity > Explore pertain only to those that involve generated SQL.

If the user wants to monitor requests that don't involve generating SQL, they may be able to go to event Explore instead, but the Event Explore gets truncated after 100K rows, so only the most recent events are shown.
