Bring day-by-day average data for the last 6-month

I have Date as dimension and revenue as a measure in my project. I want to have a table with one column of the last 7 complete days’ data compare with another column of average data. But what I want is to compare today’s (let’s say Monday) vs the avg of last 24 Mondays (6-month), and yesterday vs avg of last 24 Sundays. etc.

I am not sure which will be the best practice to do that:
filtered measure and derived table are the options people told me.

I also want to know if Looker could recognize the date of the week automatically.
