Hey Good Lookers, We had a bit of unplanned community downtime this evening, starting at around 5:15 PM PDT and mostly recurring through 12:30 AM the next day. That’s a long time to be unavailable, and while I hope you were all enjoying your weekends and not doing too much Lookering on a Friday night, I apologize if you were impacted by the downtime. We’ve taken steps to make sure that we can bounce back much more quickly given a similar event in the future. There was no security risk or loss of data involved, and there shouldn’t be any posts or activity missing from the site. Nothing to fret about! Have a lovely weekend, Izzy

The Data Explorers Guild is a group of data enthusiasts that meet virtually each month to learn from one another, share and present on success with Looker and data, and explore fun datasets in a collaborative environment. Each month, we’ll have: Speed networking, where you’ll be matched up with another random attendee for 5 minutes to connect and hear what the Looker community is up to. A visualization challenge, where we come together around a public data set (in Looker) and share insights while we explore together. Screen sharing encouraged! Personally Identifiable Information (PII), our riskily-named AMA sessions. These will often feature top Looker community members or power users, bravely placing themselves into the hot seat for our education. And more! Each month, the sessions of the Guild will change slightly. Interested in participating more actively and speaking in one of the sessions? Fill out this form!
