Ever since we rolled out a new system for gathering your feedback and requests, we’ve been overjoyed at the response! Thousands of Looker users have posted thoughtful, high-quality notes in the Product Idea portal. We are deeply impressed by the level of passion and insight demonstrated by our users (aka Good Lookers). But to be honest, we’ve also been a little overwhelmed by the sheer volume of these ideas. Understandably, many of you have expressed frustration at not hearing back quickly on the status of requests. We wanted to take a moment to let you know that we read every request and greatly appreciate the time taken to write them. As 2022 kicks off, we’re improving our process for responding to requests in order to create faster feedback loops.
But first, let’s take a look at the impact of Looker user feedback in the past year.
We released 51 user-driven requests in 2021!

Back to the future: we are working hard to respond to top-voted requests. We typically revamp our roadmap twice a year, and members of the Product Management team will share the latest updates on how your ideas have (or haven’t yet) made it into the roadmap. Interested in seeing what user requests have made it onto the roadmap? Check out the "What's Coming" tab in the Product Idea portal. “Planned” requests are those we’ve identified as in line with our most recent roadmap, and requests in “Building” status are actively under development.
Your vote counts! Make sure to vote for the features that are most important to your use case - the more interest a request has, the more likely it is to get prioritized for response. We will also be using votes to notify users via in-app guides when requested features are released, or to get further feedback from users when we are planning to build a feature. So upvoting those requests will also help keep you in the loop!
