Fall is here and we have many exciting things going on at Looker! Be sure to check out the events at the bottom of this page.
Latest Release Note Highlights 🎉
Dashboard improvements. You can now copy user-defined dashboard content from the dashboard’s action menu. You can customize the filter bar to be expanded or collapsed, with expanded as the default behavior.
Explore improvements. You can now perform Quick Calculations with pivoted data. The legacy Explore field picker has been removed. The Custom Fields Labs feature has transitioned from experimental to beta.
LookML dashboard organization. When the LookML Dashboard Organization Labs feature is enabled, you can move LookML dashboards into folders other than the default LookML Dashboard folder. When in other folders, LookML dashboards behave like user-defined dashboards. Disabling the Labs feature returns all LookML dashboards to the LookML Dashboard folder. Renaming a LookML dashboard will also return it to the LookML Dashboard folder. Dashboards cannot be moved while in Development Mode.
Improved search. Get faster and better-ranked search results. Looker’s improved search capability is enabled by default for all Looker-hosted instances on Kubernetes infrastructure without enabling a Labs feature. LookML files are no longer included in search results; however, these files are still searchable within the IDE.
