Thanks for the feedback. You are right on this one, we have some
catch-up to do on pivot-list functions as compared to our columnar
functions. Working on adding pivot_running_total and
pivot_running_product to the next release or two.
Makes sense, we have some plans to tackle that via color faceting
row-by-row rather than forcing a pivot, so hoping the tooltip work, et
al tackles this use case as well. Will update here as work is completed.
Is the pivot desire in order to facet the result set by something like
color? Just trying to understand what you are trying to do so we can
incorporate it. [For others above:] Tooltips work is currently in
progress.
Completely understand, SQL is just not ideal for lots of reporting
functionality. Hope to have a much more natural solution soon. As
engineering resources begin roll off a large in-progress project, this
is one of our top 2-3 near term priorities.
