PDT .publish_as_db_view: yes

Hi All,

I want to be able to query my pdt through a view since the PDT name changes every time with a new rebuild.

I tried https://docs.looker.com/reference/view-params/distribution_style but it dosent create a view.

Hi Yan! 

It sounds like publish_as_db_view: yes would be a great solution for the use case you mentioned of querying a stable view name, rather than the rotating PDT hash name! 

That being said, this functionality is currently only available in the SQL dialects mentioned in the parameter’s documentation here, so we’d need to be on one of those database types to take advantage of it. I see you’ve mentioned this parameter in your post title! Are there any roadblocks you’re hitting along the way when trying it out?
