Creating constants from a json file

I was wondering if it was possible to consume data stored in a json file as constants that we can then use in our LookML when defining metrics and dimensions.

Here is the use case:

The application in which looker is embedded has some constants defined as json files in another project. We want to be able to consume these files without having to redefine them as constants in our manifest because we don’t want to to have 2 version of the truth that we have to maintain.

Any help or workaround would be greatly appreciated ?
