Can I use original database table/view in a derived table without importing it as a view or explore in Looker?

I have 4 (A,B,C,D) tables in DB. I have imported A & B as Views (View_A and View_B) and used them in a model explore Explore_AB. Now I wan to bring in a customized query built on top of C & D, directly into a derived table (DT_CD) without importing them into Looker as separate Views . Is it possible?

Are SQL-based derived tables what you’re looking for? You can create a derived table with a completely custom query with them.
