API Testing Environment

Hi, in the process of building an integration with Looker and was wondering if there was a developer sandbox available to be able to make certain changes in the Looker platform and be able to make the corresponding API call to examine the data and verify that things look correct. Is such an environment available on a time-gated basis? Is this something that would be available if I requested a free trial? Only need the env for about a week or so
