Does having multiple looker explorer profiles slow looker down?

Currently, the company I work for are reluctant to hand out looker explorer licenses to multiple people because it ‘slows looker down’. How many looker explorer memberships can a company have for it not to slow down looker?

Is this true/has anyone ever heard of this being an issue?

It won’t slow looker down but could slow your database down if people are exploring “badly”. The more people who have the possibility to run stupid things (huge amounts of data, huge amounts of metrics/dimensions) the more likely it will happen and your database could grind to a halt….depending on the database, resources and data model of course. Depends on the business but not allowing people to explore is greatly restricting the benefits of the tool.
