Question

Using Jenkins to push master 'looks' to separate data models

We have a master set of dashboard and views which we need to push to 9 - 10 different data models.

We are considering using a shell script and Jenkins to push updates across the data models.

This will apply the model ‘client key’ to each of our updates.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on updating multiple data models with the same views and dashboards and can make some suggestions?

Thanks

Regards

Once you have updated the models in git, you can force Looker to update these models by hitting the url

http:///git/pull/<projectname>

For example, the following url updates the imdb model to the tip on learn.

https://learn.looker.com/git/pull/imdb

Is this what you are asking?

If the models are in the same project, you can share code using includes and ‘extends’.

Specifically, this might be helpful.
