Question about hosting Looker with wildcard SSL Cert on proxy server

We currently host Looker on a server that stands alone in our setup, open to traffic from the public and with it’s own SSL cert. We are looking to bring it under our proxy server with a wildcard certificate. I’m trying to understand the implications for Looker. I’m far from an expert, basically knowing enough to start it and keep it running. In my case, the syntax for starting Looker up includes arguments for where to find the keystore and password file locally, but I’m not sure how to make it work in this case. Would we somehow place a wildcard cert file on the Looker server and run it from there? Or is there some sort of alternate syntax to use?
