Users can't log in because of username

Hi

I'm  the local admin of a school. Our accounts are created by our school district in Microsoft Azure and then synchronised to Google. For 90% of ou users there is no problem but the other 10 can't log in on Chromebooks or their account because of special characters in their names ( é, è, ù ...). Is there a way around this? The sync runs every few minutes so manually changing it is a no go.

Seems to me that given your district uses both Azure and Workspace, it'd likely be necessary to fix the issue over in Azure (or in the Azure-to-Google sync process). In other words, I think you're going to need to work closely with the team that manages Azure to get things working properly for everyone. I don't know all that much about Azure, but perhaps it'll be necessary to remove those sorts of characters from Azure, too, to ensure compatibility?
