Students opening browser whitout permission through Google Docs

Hello,

We are facing an original problematic here.
For short, students are using managed iPad whit Jamf School. They're parents, have the possibility to apply restriction outside of the school hours and some of them does not want there childrens to be able to use internet for browsing (they do so by block the use of Safari, the iPad does not have any other browser installed).
However, the students (those little minx) have found a way to navigate freely by inserting URL links inside of Google Docs, and they can access it from the Docs's app webkit....

Is there a way to restrict the opening of URL inside of Google Docs ?

Thanks for your help.

Sadly Google Docs doesn't have a feature to turn off hyperlinks within a domain or domain group, but it is possible to disable link details: from within the individual doc. Unfortunately this is not useful for your situation.
  1. Open a document in Google Docs
  2. Click Tools in the top left
  3. Click Preferences
  4. Go to Show Link Details
  5. Uncheck the box

Thanks for tacking the time to replay to my post, i've opened a support ticket to google.
I don't thinks this behaviour is intended but thanks for your help.

I agree that it sounds like a bug
