S/MIME Failing Across All Accounts

Is anyone else seeing this not working across their accounts and with other Google tenants? Emails are not going to recipients signed. Accounts aren't recognised as having a certificate.

Even with new accounts with only one recently created certificate isn't working.

Yeap, definitely seeing this issue where outgoing messages are not S/MIME signed. Also not being offered the option to encrypt messages to contacts with keys.

Support provided this "workaround" as of Monday for at least sending S/MIME messages to contacts that already have keys:

  1. Go to "email address and encryption settings" in Gmail Settings > Accounts and Import > edit info for the primary email address
  2. Click option "Disable enhanced encryption" and it will be auto saved
  3. Click the previous selected certificate again to re-activate it, and it will be auto saved
  4. Do not reload Gmail and compose message to the recipient (S/MIME supported, key exchanged)

As for timeline to resolve this bug: "The engineering team is working to resolve the bug with utmost priority. As of now we do not have an exact timeline as to when this will be resolved but I will provide you an update on the same accordingly."

I'm currently having this problem. What was the final resolution?
