Groups automatic labbeling and assign conversation

Is there a way (also scripts or similar) to have the filtering -> apply label in google groups has it happens for the email?
we are thinking of using the groups as basic ticketing system, and would be great to label the messages automatically on conditions and then have the label assigned to each user.

is there a way, as said also programmatically, to do so?

You can search for the data from the search option at the top of the page:

. but I don't think you can automate this process and set an option for future emails to get applied with specific labels based on any criteria.

(+1)  I would love to have some filtering/automations inside of Google Groups as well!

Also, converting the "Completed" label into an Open/Closed label would really turn Google Groups into a ticketing tool. If you support that, like the idea here:
