What is GAM?

Google Apps Manager, or GAM, is a command-line program to simplify managing Google Workspace installations.

It uses Google supplied APIs to perform its functions. It’s an Open Source Project licensed under the Apache Software Foundation License v2 aka ASLv2. It uses the command line interface (CLI) instead of a graphical user interface (GUI) to help with precision and automation. GAM is particularly useful for performing bulk operations.

GAM is the “Swiss Army” Tool that every Google Workspace Administrator should have at their fingertips.

I don't think I would have had my job if it weren't for GAM and GAMADV-XTD3! I have certainly come a long way from posting questions on Reddit to answering questions in various forums where GAM-related questions are asked (and I enjoy them). With Google's recent API support for Chrome Policies, I am only beginning to explore the opportunities for automation.

It needs a tiny edit.

You have the same header twice "Mode 1: Client", where the second time I guess it should say "Mode 2: Service Account".

GAM is where it's at!! I am in no way a programmer and have used it successfully many times. The community around GAM is very responsive and helpful even to the novice API person like myself.

I just sat in on a session, where a Professional Collaboration Engineer couldn't stop singing the praises of GAM and what you can achieve with it when you are a Google Workspace Admin. Its on top of my list to learn and use!
