Happy September! We hope those of you that celebrate Labor Day are enjoying the short week. Here’s what’s been happening:

Google Workspace Updates

• Google Hangouts will be fully upgraded to Google Chat starting November 1, 2022.
• We’ve made some improvements to Google Classroom App notifications.
• We will be introducing the ability to insert Google Map place chips into Google Docs using the @ menu.
• Google Meet will now automatically adjust all participants’ volumes to equal levels when noise cancellation is enabled.
• We’re adding support for the Dark Canvas theme on the home page of all Google Meet hardware devices.
• Admins now have more options for customization by using their Appspace digital signage content on Google Meet hardware.
• You can now insert emojis directly inline with your text in Google Docs!
• A Work Insights product will be added for Meet and Chat to allow personnel such as administrators, managers, and human resources staff can get data-driven insights on Google Workspace adoption, work patterns, and cross-team collaboration.
