Hi all,

As you may have seen in a previous announcement, the Looker Community will have a new home beginning May 22nd, 2023. You’re receiving this email, as a current member of the Looker Community, to inform you of what to expect with the transition and how to get started on the new site once it’s live. 

Timing 

The new Looker Community site will be live on May 22nd, 2023, as part of the broader Google Cloud Community platform. 

There will be a brief migration period beginning the evening of May 19th, when the legacy site (https://community.looker.com/) will be set to read-only. Members will still be able to engage with Community content, but will not be able to post new questions or comments. 

The legacy site will remain in read-only for the week of May 25th while the redirects to the Google Cloud Community take effect. 

Logging in

Members will log into the new Community site using the same email address associated with your existing Looker Community account. 

From there, you’ll be directed through the process to claim your migrated account and verify your email address. You can refer to this post for details, under the section “Instructions if you have a legacy community account.”

If you already have a Google Cloud Community account, but the email associated with that account is different from your Looker Community account, then you will need to contact the Community team at gc-customer-community@google.com for assistance.
