Dynamic Button

I am looking for a way so that I can have a button in my looker dashboard clicking on which will take  the user to the previous url from where user has come on that page.

In your method 3 you speak of a "javascript component", I do not seem to have this option when editing a looker dashboard. Is this something that needs to be activated in some settings?

Hey there @joppe_w - it looks like I misunderstood the initial question and and shared an answer that doesn't solve your problem! 😰 

I asked around and found a solution that I might solve your issue, but is a bit of work. You would have to build an extension using the Looker Extension Framework, add the back button to the top of your page, then place an embedded dashboard below the button. This might be helpful.
