What happens to looks, dashboards if the underlying explore is deleted?

The team I work with has been creating Explores as new versions of existing ones.  We were hoping to start deleting the old versions within the next month, but there are some custom user-defined looks and dashboards that our colleagues have built that will need to be updated.  Will the looks or dashboards be deleted once the Explores are deleted or will they show the error "Could not find the model or view requested"?

I believe these Looks will no longer be functional. However using the content validator, your team will be able to update the Looks the explores are currently using to the new explores being built. From there the team should also be able to change fields that may have been updated as part of the new explores
