Using the Table Viz to generate an hourly heat map

I’m trying to recreate the following viz - A heat map of the hourly number of events.

I used the table viz to do it but I came up with a few issues:

1. Weekday headers (first row) cannot be grouped
2. I wasn’t able to create a buffer between the columns of the different weekdays
3. Week header (second row) cannot be hidden
4. The conditional formatting is affecting the hour dimension (first col)
5. Value labels cannot be hidden

Do you have an idea on how to bypass some of these limitations?
