Looker subtotals on the same row as the subtotal is for

Looker allows you to add subtotals to your data in a visualization, but it does not support displaying the subtotals on the same row as their corresponding group. I’m assuming this is because  Looker wants to clearly distinguish between data and its summary. However, this just takes up a tremendous amount of vertical space.

Is there any way to do this within Looker?

@jredl Did you ever find a way to do this? I'd love to know if you did!

Unfortunately no.... a way to make the appearance better is to turn on the "collapse subtotals" feature, but it still is dumb that you have better formatting for this in a google sheet vs what looker provides.

Thanks for the response. Yeah, it's not ideal.
