Looker Bar Chart: Create Custom X Labels

A noob query: I have four columns in my data, say, A, B, C, D. I want to count distinct non-null values in each column and display as a bar chart with custom X-labels. I can get the distinct counts for each column. How do I get custom labels, say, P, Q, R, S for the bar chart?

I can get a simple table for above by having no dimensions and creating custom metrics for distinct counts in each column. On bar chart settings, I'd like to remove the dimension field and simply use names for custom metrics as X-labels. But I'm unable to remove the dimension field. Please help!
