Include External CSS Such as Font Awesome

Is there a way to add links to external CSS for use in liquid HTML. Specifically I would like to be able to use FontAwesome icons in some of our dashboards. I think I might be able to cobble something together, but I thought it might be worth seeing if there was a specific header include feature.

Unfortunately there’s no way to inject CSS in liquid HTML, you have to keep all your styles inline. Referencing external resources is also impossible.

FontAwesome used to work if you used  fa classes but I think this is no longer working as well.
