How to reuse the dashboard created from one view in another view?

Hi, I have created a dashboard with multiple looks using a view ( say View 1). I have to create another view (say View 2) which is a subset of View1, and then recreate the similar dashboard using View 2. This dashboard is similar to the one created using View 1.
I do not want to disturb the dashboard created using View1.
Please suggest how to reuse the looks/ dashboard.

Hello @Chaithra_B and welcome!

If I understand correctly you are using Explore X on a user-defined Dashboard (A) and you want to replicate dashboard A on a new Dashboard (B) using another Explore Y.

What I would do here:

• Convert the user-defined dashboard A into a lookML dashboard (click here for documentation).
• In that LookML file, replace all references to Explore X with Explore Y
• Convert this lookML dashboard into a user-defined dashboard (click here for documentation)
• That’s it!
