Hiding lines in a table for financial reporting

Hi guys,

I’m creating a report with the below format, it’s pretty standard for financial reporting. I’m looking for

  • a way to hide the ‘Payout’ line without excluding it from the calculation
  • any ideas how best to present this in tabular format, just incase I’m missing something using the out-of-the-box ‘Table’ format

Any help appreciated

Turnover 100
Cost of Sales -50
Gross Margin 50
Other Costs -20
Net Margin 30
0 3 199
3 REPLIES 3

Where is Payout line? Can you show us what you’ve got so far to better understand your problem?

Hi Dawid, sorry thats my fault - I’ve used ‘Payout’ and ‘Cost of Sales’ interchangeably.

In the above example I’d like to hide (but not exclude) the Cost of Sales line, so I want it to read:

Turnover 100
Gross Margin 50
Other Costs -20
Net Margin 30

With the ‘Cost of Sales’ line implied but not shown

Many thanks

I’m assuming that you already transposed your table using the Table Visualisation? If so you can go to your Data Table and click Hide from Visualisation in the measure of interest, that should remove the row:
