I have a table visualisation with the date dimension as one of the fields. The only way I can see to change the date format is to use liquid html (https://help.looker.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023800253-Easy-Date-Formatting-with-Liquid). One issue with this is having to create a new dimension for each date dimension (date, month, year, etc). Additionally, when I used liquid html, the filter in the explore changed from ‘in the past x days’ to ‘is greater than’, i.e. it no longer recognises it as a date. It should be possible to easily change the date format in a visualisation similar to microsoft excel without changing anything in the backend.
