Count number of group occurences

Hi. I am fairly new to Looker and I'm struggling with a seemingly simple concept. I have the following data:

This is how I created the Type field:

All I am trying to do is get the total number of occurrences for each type. I want it to count how many times each group name appears and give me a total number of incidents related to each group type, so I can make a graph visualization that says there are X number of whatever incident type. Can someone please explain how I do this?

I'm also having this problem. I haven't been able to figure how to count the occurrences of a term in a single column.
