Can I create a field in my table that is changed by the view user?

Hello there!
I currently have a dashboard that is fetching data from google sheets. There is a field named "CRM" that inputs only "TRUE/FALSE" or "Yes/No". I want the viewer of the dashboard to be able to edit this field, and overwrite the data that I have in my source (google sheets).

I'm not sure if this is possible to achieve. I've read about parameters and overwriting data in SQL. But it seems to only work with controls and not with data for each row (dimensions i think they are called).

Can you clarify if this is possible?

Thanks a lot!

Hi @mafaldas,

Welcome and thank you for reaching out to our community.

Most of the dashboarding tools like looker do not natively support editing data from its source, Google Sheets in your case, however there are other Google APIs like AppSheet where you can also use Google Sheets as source. AppSheet can mimic dashboard-like functions and have the ability to configure a form that can accept user inputs and save/ update it directly to your Google Sheet.

Hope this helps.
