Calculate past 6 months based on a date filter

Let’s say i set my dashboard filter to a certain date , i want all my looks to bring in the past 6 months data from that date

Is there a way to do this in looker. I tried setting up 2 date filters on dashboard and tried to select filters to update by another date but i dont think it works.
