I don't know if this has been adressed elsewhere but I don't really know what to search for so appreciate any guidance.
In short:
- I have around 200 BOMs (bill of materials) for each standalone element of a project, each one saved as an individual google sheet
- I want to create a master spreadsheet which has a simple cover sheet with a list of names of all the BOM spreadsheets and depending on what combination of spreadsheets is selected the master spreadsheet will compile a total list of materils from each selected bom.
- Each BOM spreadsheet has the same layout and the same type of data in the same columns.
I have managed to make it work as a concept on excel using VBA but I had to import each BOM by hand as a tab to the Master spreadsheet, not only is it time consuming but has potential to create mistakes. Is this something Gsheets can handle? All files are saved on Google Drive.
