Gazer/Git Actions taking much longer than it previously did

We use gazer to port (copy) dashboards/looks from our staging Looker instance to our production Looker instance. We noticed that during the week of September 18th, our Git Action (which runs Gazer) began taking a lot longer.

We used to average 1.5-3 hours (depending on Git Action performance), but now we average 4.5-6+ hours. Since Git Actions allow a max of 6 hours for a single action, our production deployment is now being cut off.

Has anyone else experienced this? My guess is it must be caused by 1 of 3 things:

  • Git Actions
  • Gazer
  • Looker API

GitHub confirmed this had to do with Git Actions kernel version. Once it was updated around October 17th, the issue went away.
