Filter for region

Hello, how are you?

I'm looking for a filter in Looker to help me filter some data by region of the country. For example: filter by Southeast, North, and South.

Is there a filter for this? Or would I have to create a custom expression?

Hi there!

That is a great question.  The best way to do this would be in the LookML itself with a custom map_layer.  Here are links to our documentation and a how-to guide.   This does require a bit of work with either JSON or GeoJSON, but please do let us know if you have any follow up questions on this or anything else - thanks!
